| NEW INNOVATIONS IN HELICOPTER ENGINE OVERHAUL Gulf Coast Helicopter Service is continuously striving to develop new processes to help reduce the cost of engine repairs. We have an "in house" engine test facility to make sure our repairs stand up under the most extreme conditions and exceed F.A.A. certification requirements. In this test facility, we run duration test to ensure performance at high power settings. Every helicopter engine overhaul we do helps you to maintain your aircraft engine and keep any repair expenses to a minimum. Gulf Coast overhauls engines only in accordance with factory published new limits and tolerances. "Service Limit," overhauls are not acceptable at Gulf Coast Helicopter Service. Owner, Bob Haynes have stood behind the belief that engines should be built one at a time. At Gulf Coast we stress quality not quantity.
THE OVERHAUL PROCESS When your engine arrives at Gulf Coast for remanufacturing, we carefully disassemble, clean and document each part. We maintain complete up-to-date technical libraries and databases and check for all information about your engine, including all F.A.A. Airworthiness Directives and Manufacture's Service Bulletins. All parts and accessories are overhauled or replaced and tested. Overhauled components are critically inspected and tested. When we replace a part or component we do so with the best available and then inspect and test. We make thousands of individual inspections using a variety of technologies and thoroughly document each part, component, and step. Your engine is assembled and balanced by our technical craftsmen using the finest tools and F.A.A. Approved techniques. We build, as a minimum, to factory new, zero time tolerances. Your engine and accessories are carefully painted with a highly durable anticorrosive protective finish. After we have reassembled your engine, we mount it in our test cell and start it up. We run it through its full RPM cycle while performing a comprehensive series of diagnostic test to ensure that it is running flawlessly before we send it back to you. All data including your engine's performance test data is documented. We then remain on call to provide any technical assistance required during reinstallation. It is our responsibility to provide you with the safest, most reliable Lycoming, Franklin and Continental engines. We gladly accept this responsibility and stand behind every engine that leaves our shop. We back our engines with a written warranty covering parts and labor cost.
